I started House Special because the scene I love isn't the same anymore. The rooms got bigger and colder, people stopped introducing themselves, and the night - the place you went to get away from all the noise - became the noise. I want to bring it back, and I don't think you do that with a bigger festival. You do it with one small room where people actually care about each other.

The name works three ways at once. A house special is the signature dish. This is a special house - a home for everyone who loves this music. And house is the root of the sound, not a fence around it: the menu runs techno, tech house, drum & bass, dubstep, UK garage, acid house. Even the characters up top are in on it - 招牌 is how a Chinese menu marks the house special, so 招牌之声 reads Signature Sound. Same name, same promise: if we put it in front of you, we believe in it.
